COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS
Every champion starts with a first jump! Future Champions is Powerhouse Dive Club’s beginner-level team designed for athletes ages 7–15 who are ready to dive into the exciting world of springboard diving competitively. Whether your child is brand new to the sport or has some basic experience, this team provides a fun, structured environment to build strong fundamentals and grow as an athlete.
Program Highlights:
- Learn proper takeoffs, body positions (tuck, pike, straight), and safe entries
- Build strength, coordination, and confidence through fun dryland and water-based drills
- Introduction to basic dives and skill progressions from the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard
- Dryland training, trampoline, and strength/flexibility work to support in-pool performance
- Emphasis on teamwork, personal growth, and developing a love for the sport
Future Champions is all about creating a strong foundation in diving while fostering a positive, encouraging team experience. With passionate coaches and a focus on individual progress, your child will gain skills that support them both in and out of the pool.
What’s Required:
- At least 1 Month in a Powerhouse Dive Club development program class followed by Head Coach invitation
- AAU Membership ($20)
- 4 Weekly team practices (6-7 hours/week) and 80% attendance
- $350 monthly dues (based on a 4-week month, extra weeks throughout the calendar are considered makeups for club holidays and pool closures)
- $200 yearly registration
- 6-month team commitment
- Competition participation required at the local level with additional event entries and deck fees (varies by season)
- Team Kit required (team logo suit & warmups) Dive bag and Parka optional

For athletes ready to train at a high competitive level, with potential aspirations to dive in the NCAA in college, Powerhouse Dive Club’s Junior Olympic Team offers elite instruction and focused development for divers ages 10–18. This advanced program is designed for experienced divers or previous gymnasts and tumblers who are committed to refining technique, mastering higher-difficulty dives, and competing at the Junior Olympic (JO) level regionally and nationally.
Program Highlights:
- Intensive training on 1-meter and 3-meter springboards
- Platform practices at various times of the year at the College of Marin in Novato (additional fees apply)
- Development of competitive dive lists, including optional and required dives
- Emphasis on precision, consistency, and mental preparation
- Dryland training, trampoline, and strength/flexibility work to support in-pool performance
- Regular participation in local and regional AAU and USA Diving meets
Athletes in the Junior Olympic program are expected to demonstrate strong fundamentals, a solid work ethic, and the drive to compete. Our coaching staff provides individualized training plans and ongoing support to help each diver reach their full potential—whether their goal is local podiums or national-level competition.
Requirements:
- Previous diving experience and coach invitation for placement
- AAU membership (USA Diving membership may be required for some meets)
- Team Kit (not included in registration)- suit, warmups, parka, dive bag
- $400 monthly dues (calculated based on a standard 4-week month; any additional weeks in the calendar serve as makeup time for club holidays and pool closures)
- $250 Yearly Registration
- 4 Weekly team practices (approximately 8-10 hrs/week) 90% attendance
- Competition participation required at the local, regional, and national levels with additional event entries and deck fees (varies by season)
